The heritage Dromedary Hotel has been a cornerstone of Central Tilba since 1895, these days offering locals and visitors alike a warm and inviting atmosphere paired with exceptional food, drinks, and hospitality. We take pride in delivering memorable experiences and maintaining a welcoming environment that keeps our patrons coming back.

Role Overview:

As the Assistant Venue Manager, you will work closely with the Venue Manager to oversee the daily operations of the pub. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Assisting in managing staff and ensuring high levels of customer service.

  2. Supervising daily operations to uphold our standards of quality and cleanliness.

  3. Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly and courteously.

  4. Supporting in inventory management, ordering, and stock control.

  5. Contributing to the development and implementation of promotional activities and events.

  6. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.

 

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in a hospitality management role, ideally within a pub or similar environment.

  2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  4. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

  5. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, school holidays and public holidays as required.

  6. Knowledge of beverage and food service, including understanding of cellar management and stock rotation.
